Once onboard the ship, guests will become immediately immersed into the Murder Mystery experience by checking in with Costumed Actors and Event Organizers.
Each guest will receive an information packet with rules for the mystery and a sheet for taking notes on potential suspects.
The theme of the event is ‘Midnight at the Masquerade’, a Billionaire’s Masquerade Ball. Evening wear, ball gowns, Venetian masks, suits, and tuxes are recommended but not required for this high-class event of masks and murder.
The First Act of the Mystery will occur before dinner. During this time, there will be a 15-minute mingle period between guests and actors, 60-minute performance by the actors, and a 15-minute investigation period where guests can gather clues and question suspects.
After dinner, guests are free to enjoy the ship's other entertainment.
After finishing a delicious breakfast on board the ship, the Second Act will begin.
During this Act, there will again be a 15-minute mingle period between guests and actors, 60-minute performance by the actors, and a 15-minute investigation period where guests can work on finessing their guesses for ‘whodunit’!
After this period commences, the actors will take groups of 8-12 guests to a customized ‘crime scene room’ filled with potential clues.
During this day, The Murder Mystery Co.’s actors will be located around the ship to chat with guests and be interrogated for answers.
The Third Act will begin before dinner with a 15-minute mingle period between guests and actors, 60-minute performance by the actors, and a 15-minute investigation period for guests to ask their final questions and try to solve the mystery.
But wait—guests won’t make their final accusations just yet! Hold onto your ‘whodunits’ til the final day!
The ship will be docked at Ensenada—Murder Mystery activities will not commence til the evening.
Before dinner, the actors will gather the guests’ final guesses and line up the suspects for the Big Reveal!
Awards will be given out for the Detetives of the Night, ‘Dead Last Place’, Best Dressed, Best Actor, and more!

Professional actors guide guests through a mysterious plot with twists and turns galore. You act as the Detectives working to solve the crime by piecing together clues. We have 3 acts spread over 2 days and a crime scene room for you to check out.
The Murder Mystery Co. provides the actors who play the suspects. We recommend that guests dress up in the theme of the event, “Midnight at the Masquerade”, a Billionaire’s Masquerade Ball. Only guests who purchased tickets for the murder mystery portion of the cruise will be able to be involved in the actual Mystery. Other ship guests are not included.
Our travel advisor works closely with the ship to arrange event space on the ship for the Murder Mystery to take place. When there is no Murder Mystery currently happening, guests are able to enjoy all of the ship's activities and entertainment. When guests arrive and check in with the event organizers on Day 1, they will receive a packet with the schedule of events.
Unfortunately not. The three acts and itinerary have been set around the late dining.
No, silly! If you ‘died’, you wouldn’t be able to enjoy the show and guess who the killer is. One of the actors will be the murder victim during the performance.
