The Murder Mystery Company is proud to announce a new dinner theater location in Times Square, New York City, New York! Many saw the clues that were posted throughout our social media, but here’s the big reveal!

When does it start?

Starting on August 23rd, we will be hosting an ongoing comedic murder mystery experience at Carmine’s Italian Restaurant in Times Square. Even if you’ve been to one of our shows before, we’re certain you’ve never seen anything like this. There’s nothing that compares– even in Manhattan. “Speakeasy Die Softly” will occur on Fridays and Saturdays with doors opening at 4 pm and 7:30 pm, and on Sundays and Mondays with doors at 6:30 pm. Patrons at our immersive experience in NYC will receive a fantastic 3-course meal and personal clues; some will even become suspects in the crime!

Escape the busy streets of NYC during our 30-minute cocktail hour before showtime while enjoying live jazz and casino games. Become immersed in the 1920s and strike up a conversation with talented actors and musicians. When the performance begins, you’ll participate in a coverup at Lou Zar’s Speakeasy. You and your team will work together to catch the killer by the end of the show. Just like our regular murder mystery dinner shows across the nation, you’ll interact with professional actors, have some food, and leave after solving the crime (or not). The culprit is so secretive, even they don’t know that they’re the killer, so it truly could be anyone!

“Speakeasy, Die Softly” will feature four professional actors, a singer, a pianist, and unique souvenirs that can only be found at Carmine’s in Times Square. On top of that, we pulled out all the stops and upgraded Carmine’s with a brand-new sound system, custom interactive props, signs, posters, and lights! If you’re lucky enough to be selected to play a suspect in the crime, you will receive a “Broadway Debut” Certificate to commemorate your experience.

Dinner Theater in NYC

Carmine’s is a Southern Italian family-style restaurant that offers exceptional food for everyone to enjoy. And by that, we mean HUGE portion sizes crafted to feel like “an Italian American wedding feast.” Each table will be served a massive dinner salad, Chicken Parmesan, Penne Ala Vodka, Meatballs, and their famous cannolis for dessert. You’ll be sure to leave with a full stomach and a smile anytime you feast at Carmine’s.

You’ll be hit with a wave of nostalgia as soon as you step foot in the restaurant. Carmine’s draws in elements of America’s “Golden Age” and feels just like your grandma’s kitchen. Inside you’ll see a lot of familiar Italian restaurant elements that simultaneously electrify you with NYC energy and make you feel right at home.

Carmine’s has been in New York since 1990 and has only become more popular over the last thirty years. Typically, the restaurant sees lines out the door and around the block at any hour of the day. Although it’s an Italian restaurant, they do offer gluten-friendly items– just make sure to inform your host of your allergy or sensitivity when you get your ticket. Alcoholic beverages are available but not included in the price of your ticket. We strongly recommend having a drink so you can see their colossal portion sizes. However, we urge you to not get so sloppy that you dance on any tables– but the show is set in a speakeasy, after all, so live a little!

No matter what character you play, we urge you to tip your servers. We’re murderers here; not monsters. What goes around comes around… tipping your servers is just telling the universe to cough up some great karma.

What should I wear?
