Nadia Zandstra is American Immersion Theater’s Assistant Events Manager. She has been with the company for over a year and was initially hired as an Event Planner. Quickly the team saw her fantastic leadership skills, and decided to offer her a promotion. Since then, she has helped lead the Events Team with her creativity, passion, and strong work ethic.
Background

Nadia was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI with what she describes as a weirdo family which now consists of herself, her sister, Tashi, and her brother, Nick. Their family is full of people who have unique ways of expressing themselves, and they all either have or had very niche occupations. Tashi is currently a scientist researching endometriosis, and Nick works for Founders Brewing Company as an inventory analyst.
Nadia herself was a brand ambassador and promoter for a cannabis company before joining American Immersion Theater. During that time, she traveled a lot and met several famous people who eventually became her friends. Working in that field was exciting and interesting, but she decided to settle down, and AIT was the perfect place to start.

Current professions aside, growing up, she wanted to be a teacher. She always loved helping her teachers by running to the printer or assisting with presentations, so it was only natural that she once thought of following in their footsteps. Nadia still is a teacher in her own right. She helps train and develop the wonderful event planners, and is always encouraging others to do the best they can each day.
Personal Life

Both in her professional and personal life, she is an information hub for people all over the world when it comes to her massive American Girl Doll Collection. She both refurbishes and customizes dolls with a focus on adding tattoos and creating mini-mes. She even created a mini-me of our founder and CEO, Scott Cramton for Christmas last year– and yes. He loved it.

On top of all of that, Nadia also runs a small YouTube channel and Instagram account all about her American Girl Doll collection called @devilclawz_ where she both talks about both her main hobbies: AGD and gel nail art.

Nadia still lives on the south side of Grand Rapids where she lives with her adopted furry children and a friend. Nova (7) is an adorable bichon frisé dog with a princess-like personality, and her two gray tabby cats are Benoit (1), who is named after Benoit Blanc from “Knives Out” and Leland (1), who is named after Captain Leland Stottlemyer from “Monk.”

Where to find her
If Nadia isn’t restoring a doll, doing her nails, or caring for her pets, you might spot her reading a book, lifting weights, or taking a stroll through nature. Be sure to follow Nadia’s Youtube where she puts up new videos semi-frequently! We know she’s far too cool to not watch.
